With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ely Wayne of Vian, Oklahoma, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ely left this world on July 8, 2025 at the age of 22, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. He was predeceased by: his grandfather Donnie Smith. He is survived by: his parents, Stephanie Rose Smith (Taylor) and Jeremy Wayne Smith; his sister Chasity Smith; his close friend Sayre Childers of Mannford, OK; his grandparents, Jack, Deneen Taylor of Spiro, OK and Pam Smith of Vian, OK; and his aunts, Angela Skaggs (Steven "Chief"), Jill Grady (Curtis) and Vanessa Taylor of Spiro, OK. He is also survived by several cousins, other relatives, and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Agent & Mallory Martin Funeral Home (123 S Wheeler Ave, Sallisaw, OK 74955). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blackgum Harvestime Church (451558 E0980 Rd, Vian, OK 74962). A burial was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at the Box Cemetery.
