He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carl "Bud" Chaney and Lydia Bell Chaney (Wright); his wife Elleanor Haddock; his son Kenneth D. Chaney; his sister Wanda Goins; and his grandson Cole Chaney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol R. Chaney, Jr. (Trish) of Vinita, Donna Arlene Messer of Vinita and Crystal Goforth (Ray) of Vinita; his brother Clyde Chaney (Nancy) of Langley; and his brother-in-law Frank Goins of Vinita. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
