He is survived by: his wife Becky Johnston; his children, Carla Ryan, Jamie Root, Jeff Johnston, Jacob Johnston and Zac Johnston; his siblings, Don Root, James Root, Jarred Root, Kathy Black, Crystal Pleasant and Jane Martin; and his grandchildren, Abby Stamper, Emma Stamper, William Ryan, Chase Ryan, Logan Johnston, Camden Turner, Ridge Johnston, Baylor Johnston, Kennedy and Jett Johnston.
