He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar "Ras" Epperson and Ludie Epperson (Ketchum); and his sisters, Norma Blount and Billie James. He is survived by: his wife Sonia Epperson; his children, John Epperson (Jinza) of Vinita, OK and Cindy Pollet of Vinita, OK; his brother Jim Epperson; and his grandchildren, Ty Epperson, John David Epperson, James Sands and Celeste Weeks. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of relatives and friends.
