He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Barney and Dolly Barney (Johnson); and his sister Debbie Barney. He is survived by : his wife Brenda; his children, Drew, Tammy Barney and Jason Barney of Wagoner; and his sisters, Karen (Shelby McCollum) of Wagoner, Brenda (Bill Holland) of Muskogee and Shirley (Kenny Miller) of Edmond. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mallett Funeral Home and Crematory (417 E Cherokee St, Wagoner, OK 74467). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (401 NE 2nd St, Wagoner, OK 74467).
