He was predeceased by: his parents, J. P. Mitchell and Alva Joy Mitchell (Downs). He is survived by: his daughters, Cassie Patterson of Lawton and Katie Mitchell of Lawton; his siblings, Jay Mitchell (Cheryl) and Karen McCoy (James); his siblings' children, Austin McCoy and Jana Fink; and his close friend Wilnetta "Sukie" Monoessy. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:15 PM at the Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home (202 E Colorado Ave, Walters, OK 73572). A graveside service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Walters Cemetery.
