He was predeceased by : his father James Adkins. He is survived by : his mother Joan Adkins of Garber; his wife J. Ann Adkins; his children, Clinton James Adkins (Leah), Ross of Enid, OK and Kimberly Ann Adkins of Amsterdam, Netherlands; his grandson Draven Adkins (Kimmy); his great grandchild Tobias of Yukon, OK; his former life partner Sherry Summers of Enid; and also, Daniel Truskett of Waukomis, OK, Christy Koeberle (Mark), Conley of Thibodaux, LA., Kaeden of Thibodaux, LA. and Deacon of Thibodaux, LA.. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Cherokee Strip Friends of the NRA, Garfield County Rifle Association, or the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
