It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freddie L. Shiplett Sr. of Waurika, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Alfred Roy Shiplett Sr. and Airah Mae Shiplett (Perrin); and his siblings, Eula Davis, Alfred Jr., Norman and Sidney Shiplett.

He is survived by : his wife Hazel Nell Hardin; his brother Paul Dean Shiplett (Darlene) of Glencoe; and his children, Freddie Shiplett Jr. (Rebecca) of Midwest City, Roy Shiplett (Terri) of Tulsa, Darrin Shiplett (Pam) of Richland, Missouri, Michael Lozier (Diana) of Stillwater, Shelli Rankin (Terry) of Waurika and Kristine Shiplett (Anthony Johnson) of Perry. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
