He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Lara (Pintz) and Chico Lara; and his sisters, Margo Long and Jolene Lara. He is survived by: his wife Lorrie Ann (Ackley); his children, Aaron Lara, Amity Dunwoodie (Greg), Devin Lara, Henry Lara Jr., Joanne Lara and Merlyn Sterling; his grandchildren, Krypto, Gabriella, Dylan, Sebastian, Alex, David, Lisa, Harrison and Madison; and his great grandchildren, Bastian, Emma and Lily.

Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center in Duncan.
