He was predeceased by : his parents, Winford Shepherd and Dorothy Cabiness. He is survived by : his wife Debbie Sheward; his daughter Shannon Shepherd of Norman, OK; his siblings, Rhonda Cischke (Tony) of Richardson, TX, Ramona Shepherd of Clinton, OK and Darwin Shepherd (Carolyn) of Elk City, OK.; his grandchildren, Dezrea D'alessandro and Carlie D'alessandro; his mother-in-law Jo Sheward; his brother-in-law Rick Sheward (Shirleen) of Weatherford, OK; and his close friends, Jordan, Kelsey and Creek Williams.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kiesau Memorial Chapel (2500 W Modelle Ave, Clinton, OK 73601). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southwest Christian Church (2525 Lyle Rd, Weatherford, OK 73096).

The family has requested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may be given to the Southwestern Christian Church, 2232 Lyle Road, Weatherford, OK 73096 or Southwestern Oklahoma State University Foundation, 100 East Campus Drive, Weatherford, OK 73096.
