We announce the death of Robert Maynard Barton Jr. of Weatherford, Oklahoma, born in Riverside, California, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 70. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Maynard Barton, Sr. and Mildred Barton (LaCoss); his siblings, Mattie Hoover and David Wooldridge; and his brother-in-law James Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Sharen; his children, Felicia, Robert Barton III, Justin Jennings (Courtney), Katrina Barela (Johnny Bearshears), Larry "Bo" Travis Kitchens (Chrystal), William Jesse Barton (Jessica), Ashley Ann, Jesse Lee Jennings (Micah Tove' Jennings) and Jessica Lynn Barton; and his siblings, James Barton (Rose Mary), Ruth Ann Reed, Emelia Wright, Oletha Winters and Dennis Wooldridge. He is also survived by "PaPa" was survived by his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the New Life Church (4200 Carriage Wy, Weatherford, OK 73096). A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery.
