He was predeceased by: his parents, V. C. Reneau and Janet Reneau; his sister Patsy Rowden; his grandson Rance Ridling; and his great grandchild Brayden Hayes.
He is survived by: his child Val Carlton II (Rhonda) of Durant; his wife Sharon Reneau; his child Robyn Ridling (Ronny) of Sentinel; his grandchildren, Ryan, Richelle, Risa, Ciera and Cody; his great grandchildren, Zoie, Zaylie, Emma, Bracket, Rance, Canyon, Conleigh, Hadleigh, Hayden, Conner and Hayley; and his brother Harrison Dan Reneau of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
