He was predeceased by: his parents, Sue Nell (Boydston) and Raymond Alton Gent. He is survived by: his wife Billie Gent; his brother Tim Gent (Kim); his niece Amanda Gent; his stepbrothers, Larry and Don Villines; and his children, Meilee Gent, Timothy Gent, Victoria Gent, Larry Craig, Morgan Gent, Toby McCord (Ashley), Brandon McCord (late Melissa), Cassandra (Sissy), Patrick Curry, Mattie Couch and Jessica Couch. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in Jimmy's honor can be made to the Western Club.
