He was predeceased by : his parents, Eunah Givens and Mary Givens (Dewochee); his brother Michael Givens; his grandson Justin Rhinehart; and his children, Benjamin Givens, Jr. and Semvthoye Givens.

He is survived by : his wife Martha Givens; his children, Louis Hobia (Linzie) of Wetumka, Brian Givens of Wetumka, Justina Givens of Wetumka and Mary Givens of Wetumka; and his siblings, Jesse Givens (Mary) of Wetumka, Sonny J. Givens of Weleetka and Fannie Hobia of Wetumka. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
