He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dallie Godwin and Dorothy Beasley Godwin; and his siblings, Doris Louise Bradway, Robert and Kenneth Godwin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Lora Godwin, Tim Godwin (Rosetta) and Edward Godwin (Michelle); and his siblings-in-law, Bob Bradway, Judy Godwin and Etta Godwin. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
