He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Elizabeth Thomas (King); his grandparents, Henry Ernst and Mary Ernst (Borchers); his son Mark Ernst; his stepson Shawn Price (Kevin "Charley" Price); and his father Anthony B. Mary E Ernst.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen "Kay" Ernst (Smith); his children, Anthony "Tony", Randy (Shannon) and Cheryl; and his stepchildren, Kathy (James) and Chad (Charles). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
