He is survived by: his wife Geneva Skala (Stiewig); his daughter Debra Baird; his granddaughters, Christy Shuman (Jimmy), Jennifer Pester (Jaisen) and Amber Bain (Chris); his sister Danna Murray (Allen); Joann Waterson. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
