He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Persons and Christine Persons (Braley); his brother Dick Persons; his brother-in-law Randy Meyer; and his nephew Ryan Persons.

He is survived by : his wife Marlyn Persons; his daughters, Heidi Woodmansee (Adrian) and Haley Persons (Eric Millison); his sister Nancy Meyer; his grandchildren, Parker Brown, Hayden Brown (Mariah Dermady), Hannah Brown, Mackenzie Persons (Preston Estep), Maycie Coulson and Kooper Coulson; and his nephew Brett Bates. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be made to Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
