Gene Waggoner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gene Waggoner (Woodward, Oklahoma), who passed away on November 13, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Roberta Irene Waggoner (Lehman); his wife Marilyn Waggoner; his father Elmer Waggoner; his siblings, Joyce Waggoner and Jerry Waggoner; his siblings-in-law, Lynn Coons and Zeta Waggoner; his parents-in-law, Howard and Lila Louthan; and his sister-in-law Joan Ray (Stewart Ray).
He is survived by: his children, Machelle Steuart (Barry) of Tulsa and Jeff Waggoner (Alisha) of Woodward; his grandchildren, Barrett Steuart (Elizabeth) of Bixby, Haylee Steuart of Tulsa, Hayden Steuart (Chloe Clark) of Bixby, Saylor Waggoner of Woodward and Trent Waggoner of Woodward; his great grandchild Ellie Steuart of Bixby; his siblings, Kathy Coons and Ronnie Waggoner (Charlotte); and his brother-in-law Verl Louthan (Judy). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, November 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Billings Funeral Home (1621 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK 73801). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Woodward Church of the Nazarene (400 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK 73801). A burial was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at the Elmwood Cemetery (2755 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK 73801).
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to the Woodward Public Schools meal program with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
