He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas H. "Pokey" Rhoades and Martha Shupert Rhoades; his brothers, George "Wayne", Johnny and Harlen "Sandy"; and his parents-in-law, Alan and Caroline McConnell.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce McConnell; his sons, Tommie (Angela) and Travis (Sara); and his grandchildren, Damian, Rhett and Adley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
