He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Franklin Rutledge and Lily Bronniman Rutledge; his brother Carl Duane Rutledge; his sister-in-law Jean Gardner Rutledge; his sister Phyllis Rutledge Kerchner; his nephew Tracy Rutledge; and his great-nephew Seth Rutledge.
He is survived by: his close friend Kelly Hixson Smith; his son Jason Rutledge; his brother-in-law Bill Kerchner; and his nieces and nephews, Travis Rutledge (Lisa), Tonja Rutledge Mead (Pat), Vickie Kerchner Hunter (David) and Kurt Kerchner (Lisa). He is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and their families, beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery (2755 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK 73801).
