We announce the death of LaVoinne Stricker of Woodward, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 83. LaVoinne will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. LaVoinne will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew LaVoinne will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. LaVoinne’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny Laubhan and Edna May Laubhan (Thomas); and her husband Vernon Ray Stricker. She is survived by: her children, Lance Stricker (Holly) and Kimberly Kessenich (Steve); her grandson Noah Stricker (Peyton); her great grandchild Shiloh; her brother AJ Laubhan (Ann); and her sister-in-law Wanda Stricker. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Woodward First Methodist Church (1111 Downs Ave, Woodward, OK 73801).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Woodward First Methodist Church, Spanish Cove, or the Alzheimer's Association with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
