She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmer Dewitt and Ruth Zella Cook (Waddle); her brother Millard Cook; her sister-in-law Carol; her sister Della Carter; her siblings-in-law, Bob and Evelyn Cook; her nephew Melvin "Bo" Cook; her daughter-in-law Margret Cook; and her friend Sharon "Sophie" Evans.

She is survived by: her children, Rickey Dean Cook and Rita Karpe; her siblings, Gene Cook and Bonita Boston; her great grandchildren, Ryder, Madilyn Cook, Asa and Alora; and her close friend Phylis Mitchell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
