He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester L. Burns and Clara B. Burns; his wife Cherry Burns; his brother Butch Burns (Dean Helfrich); and his sons, Joshua Veach and Michael Hunter.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvester Burns (Tasha), Clara Burns (Curtis), Butch Burns (Kaylynn), Heather Burns (Kalob), Christina Lucas, Angela Hixon (Travis), Corey Breese, Jennifer Johnson and Brian Reaves (Lisa); his grandchildren, Robert, Jakobie, Zaxlee, Gracin, Zoey, Jaden, Jasmine, Cameron, Cody, Javien, Brooklyn and Mariska; and his great grandchildren, Mila, Asher, Cody, Mckenna, Akela, Haven, Ellihana, Maverick and Wrenley.
