He was predeceased by: his father Edward Turner (Ed); his former wife Patty; his mother Tommie Matherly (Calvin); his brothers, Thomas and Samuel Turner; and his grandson Eathan Turner.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Nancy, Anthony (Christie), Andrew and Ellen (Conner); his grandchildren, Scott Phipps, Jonathan, Kori, Lillian, Michelle (Arron), Austin and Bailey; his great grandchildren, Johnny and Dewy; and his sister Clarissa Clawson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cimarron Boy Scouts Council in his name.
