He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Lee and Lila Mae Grimes (Thompson); his sisters, Cloetta Calhoun and Floetta Lane; his brother-in-law Tim Calhoun; and his nephews, Tim Kirk and Jeff Calhoun.
He is survived by: his wife Stephanie; his children, Stacie Shelton of Quanah, Texas, Scott Gholston (Lydia) of Yukon, Oklahoma and Sandi Gholston of Yukon, Oklahoma; his sister Delores Vette of Kansas City, Kansas.; his grandchildren, Meredith Gholston, Aeris, Dexter Shelton, Audrie, Henry Gholston, Talon and Taygan Hopkins; his parents-in-law, Luann Elmore (Lyle) and Jerry Wright; his nieces and nephews, Kirk Calhoun (Olivia), Dean Vette (Leigh Eury), Kim Lane (Les McGehee) and Laura Lane; and his sisters-in-law, Angela Mobley (Lonnie) and Jennifer Jones of Vernon, Texas.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Yanda and Son Funeral Home Chapel (1500 W Vandament Ave, Yukon, OK 73099).
