She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Saum and Freide Saum; her husband Donald Brooks; her son Cary Brooks; and her grandson Jeremy Bruning.

She is survived by: her daughters, Dee Burning of Guthrie, Glenda Dudley (Floyd) of Blanchard and Shelly Kimball (Jeff) of Yukon; and her great great grandchild Pearl. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
