He is survived by: his wife Janet Elaine Thompson Story; his son Brian (Sarah Story); his grandchildren, Jacob, Brecken Story, Adrian Ortiz, Evan Isaac Story and Kaylie Elaine Story; his great grandchildren, Easton Red Elk and Ember Story; his brother Larry (Connie Story); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Mayberry, Mark Thompson (Irmgard Thompson) and Amy (Mickey Brown). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, September 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home (500 N Willow St, Pauls Valley, OK 73075).
