He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, Debra Hillman (Tracy Hillman) of Boise, Jet Tharp (Paula) of Custer City, OK, Jeffery Tharp of Yukon, OK, Dena Wiegand (Jim Wiegand) of Fenton and Jeremy Tharp (Lori) of Hydro, OK.; his siblings, Joy Briggs (Ronald) of Ulysses, KS, Dixie Tharp of Ulysses, KS and Marvin Tharp (Diana) of Hardesty, OK; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Tharp of Hardesty and Barbara Tharp of Austin, TX.
