He was predeceased by: his wife Maxine "Toots" Compton; his parents, John Perry Compton and Vera Eliza Compton (McNeil); and his brother Leslie Ray Compton. He is survived by: his children, John Compton of Yukon, Paul, Linda Compton of Yukon, Leigh and Rob Jordan of Mustang, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Jillian, Brian Taylor of El Reno, Oklahoma, Adam, Jill Compton of El Reno, Oklahoma, Matthew, Laura Goucher of Piedmont, Oklahoma and Jacob Jordan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.; and his great grandchildren, Colten Compton, Abbigayle Price, Gabriel Compton, Brogan Compton, Madeline Taylor, Reed Taylor, Bryce Goucher and Blake Goucher.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to a local blood bank or to organizations that provide services to those in need.
