He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Ezra and Margaret Hannah Redus (Goforth); his son Doug Redus; his brother Leamon Redus; his sisters-in-law, Elvira and Alene; his sister Floriene Monroe; and his brother-in-law LaVerne (Loretta Hannegan).
He is survived by: his wife Carmene; his daughter Florine (Tony Smarra Jr); his grandchildren, Gavin Smarra and Carly Smarra; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara, Mae and Pauline. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
