He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lafayette Brookshire and Mary Eddy Cook Brookshire; his siblings, Duward Brookshire, Rubin Brookshire, Virginia Pierce, Johnnie Lee Beimer and Donald Brookshire; and his son Douglas Brookshire.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Brookshire; and his children, Mike Brookshire of Yukon, Leann Murchison (David) of Amarillo, Texas and Tisha Cypert (Kenneth) of Ada, OK. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, plus many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM and on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Yukon Bible Church (11715 NW 10th St, Yukon, OK 73099). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Fort Sill National Cemetery (2648 NE Jake Dunn Rd, Elgin, OK 73538).
