Carol Young Obituary

We announce the death of Carol Young in Albany, Oregon, who passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 83. Carol will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Smith and Evelyn Smith; her sister Karen Mayhew; and her nieces, Lorri Cooper and Cindy Easdale.

She is survived by: her children, Caris Friesen, Curtis Young and Caryn Rowland; her brother Don Easdale (Terry); her grandchildren, Hannah Gumm, Adam, Jonathan, Nathaniel Friesen and Donny Rowland; her nieces and nephews, Marsha, Mike Gutsky, Ron, Annette, Sandra, Dan, Cecilia, David and Kelley; Miles Friesen.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's memory may be made to the Albany Christian School Library, 420 East 3rd St. Albany, OR, A place that was dear to her heart.
