He was predeceased by : his father Danny Patterson; his grandparents, Hugh, Harriette Forney, Darwin and Maxine Patterson; his aunt Sue Barendse; his uncle Kevin Forney; and his pet Thor.

He is survived by : his mother Christine Patterson (Forney); his siblings, Kelley Patterson (Melissa) and Tiffany Tarabochia (Brian); and his nieces and nephews, Zac, Kellan, Luke, Delaney Patterson, Taylor and Joseph Tarabochia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kyle's name to the Clatsop County Animal Shelter.
