She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Larson and Edith Mattson Larson; her husband Alvin Grothe; and her siblings, Fern Hamerl (Wendell), Norma Thompson (Dean), Lyla Johnson (Byron), Linda Westeen (Loyal), Milo (Kay), Donald, Dan, Eugene (Adeline), Lester (Marion) and Orville (Leona).
She is survived by: her children, Terry Owenby (Jeff), James Grothe, Susan Lynch (Michael), Kathy Olson (Larry), Kelly Grothe (Lois) and Joel Grothe. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cherished friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (451 34th St, Astoria, OR 97103).
