He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Opal Abraham and Albert Abraham; his wife Carol Abraham; his children, Brian Abraham, Lori Halverson and Curt Abraham; and his stepchildren, Judy Goff-Menegat and Allan Goff. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

With the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation, Carl transported human eyes to patients all over Oregon and Washington state for more than 10 years.
