Vernon Neil Purcell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2025, at the age of 73, Vernon Neil Purcell of Athena, Oregon passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon Neil Purcell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Purcell and Mary Lou Purcell; and his son Shad Purcell. He is survived by: his sons, Dave (Kenny Speed) and Shane Purcell; his wife Susan Purcell; his sisters, Maggie Rollins, Patty Young and JoAnn Craig; his uncle Bud Chrestesen; and his grandchildren, Cadence, Bella Purcell, Aaron Speed, Katie Spoon, Brett, Danielle Speed, Ian Speed, Jacob Speed and Alisa Ligrani. He is also survived by several other Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Athena High School.
In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Camp Ukandu in honor of Vernon and Shad.
