“I first met Ted in 1989 when we began working together at the Wallowa Whitman National Forest. Our work relationship started out rocky, but we both persevered and became very good friends. Even after we left Baker City in 1999, we remained in touch with Christmas and birthday cards, as well as occasional phone calls. I will miss hearing his hearty laugh. He will be missed.
