Marie Mayea Obituary

Marie Mayea of Bend, Oregon, went to her heavenly home on January 3,
2023, she was 81 years old. She was born in Kentucky to Frank and Annie.
She was a loving and devoted wife of 62 years to Gene of Bend, Oregon. She
was a beloved mother to six children, Dennis, Mike, Allen, Sandra, Chris and
Robert. Marie was further blessed by her daughters-in-law, Renee, Jessica and Kirsten.
She was a doting Grandmother to her Grandson, Shaun. Shaun and his wife,
Nicole, recently blessed her with a Great Grandson.
Marie is survived by her brothers Teddy and Don and sister Joanne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Annie, brothers, Pete,
Bob, and David and sister, Helen.
Marie was a selfless woman. She always put the needs of her family and
friends first. Marie loved to spoil everyone with her wonderful cooking, their
favorite meals, candies and baked goods. Regardless of how busy life was,
she always gave the gift of time and attention to all those she loved. Her
memory was impeccable; she could always recall numbers, people, places,
birthdays and all other important events. She was a businesswoman like no
other. Using brilliance and grace to build relationships with customers,
vendors and staff. She was also a homemaker and mother. Despite having a
large family, she always made special time for each child, her husband and
her friends.
Marie’s life was filled with love and ever-present kindness. This love was
both given and received with grace and dignity.
Funeral rosary and mass will be held at 9:30 am Monday, January 16th, at St.
Francis Historic Church located at 599 NW Lava Road in Bend, Oregon
97701. Followed by a graveside service for family and friends at Deschutes
Memorial Gardens in Bend, Oregon, at 63875 N Hwy 97 Bend, Oregon
