She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Nelson and Agness Maud Welker (McDonald); and her brothers, Grant, Russell, Lee and Robert Welker.

She is survived by: her husband Bob Stearns (Bob); and her children, Teresa Uriarte (Stearns) of Baker City, John Stearns (JoLyn) of Boise, Alison (Stearns) and Kincheloe (Charlie) of Gig Harbor, Wash..
