He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Witzel and Pearl Witzel; his half-sisters, Marion, Betty and Daisy; and his wife Darlene.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Baker (Jim), John Witzel, Debbie Raney (Hoot) and Mike Witzel (Georgy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
