He was predeceased by: his parents, Winfield Stearns and Frances Stearns (Abshire); his wife Jennie Welker; and his siblings, Jack Stearns and Janet Mosely (Stearns).
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Uriarte, John Stearns (JoLyn) and Alison Kincheloe (Charlie); and his siblings, Ken Stearns (Debbie) and Karen Hughes (Don). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Burns Elks Lodge #1680 (118 N Broadway Ave, Burns, OR 97720).
