David Robert Schmidt Obituary

The passing of David Robert Schmidt of Corvallis, Oregon occurred on October 11, 2026. David, born on April 15, 1940, is remembered by those who knew him. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Schmidt and Katharine Schmidt (Lathrop); his son Rob; and his sister Judy McClain. He is survived by: his wife Heidi Linden; his children, Roger Workman (Catherine), Mark Schmidt and Lisa Schmidt (Erik); and his siblings, Wayne, John and Joanne Gould. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Russell Tripp Theater.

In 1984, he was elected to the LBCC board and continued in that role until 1992, also serving on the LBCC Foundation Board.
