Alta Katherine Cochell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 12, 2025, at the age of 83, Alta Katherine Cochell in Cottage Grove, Oregon passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Alta leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph (Mabel Sullivan) and Alta; and her brothers, Leo and Robert. She is survived by: her husband Richard Cochell; her daughter Lenette Bailey of Cottage Grove; and her stepchildren, Gale Cochell of Oasis and Trevor Cochell of Cottage Grove. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Christ 6th & Gibbs (195 N 6th St, Cottage Grove, OR 97424).
