It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee Edward Welter of Cove, Oregon, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Lee departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Lee. Though Lee may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eben Welter and Violet Welter (Goetzski); and his sister Marlyn Albrecht. He is survived by: his wife Nikki Tsiatsos; his sons, Eric Welter (Adrianne) of Stanwood, WA and Andy Welter (Charlotte) of Albuquerque, NM; his sister Barb Szotkowski of Greenfield, WI; and his grandchildren, James Welter, Drew Welter, Colin Welter and Madylyne Smith.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith Center (10300 S D St, La Grande, OR 97850). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Island City Faith Center (10300 S D St, La Grande, OR 97850).
