He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard "Dick" Cyrus Jr. and Dorthy "Dot" Irene Hensley (Waas); and his grandparents, Richard Cyrus Sr., Donna Williams Hensley (Rymon), Raymond Kelsey and Irene Lavonne Waas (Cunnington).
He is survived by: his wife Astrid Hensley (Dietz) of Cove, OR; his son Richard A. "Tony" Hensley of La Grande, OR; his siblings, Donna I. Irons (Mike) of Bordman, OR, Kathleen M. Mador (Danny) of Hermiston, OR and Shawn A. Hensley (Michelle) of Hermiston, OR; and his aunts and uncles, Steve (Kathy Hensley), Dora Williams, Jack (Karin Waas) and Sharon Waas. He is also survived by 3 nieces and nephews and 3 great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Red Bridge State Park (54407 Ukiah-Hilgard Hwy, La Grande, OR 97850).
