She was predeceased by: her parents, John Warkentin and Lena Warkentin (Unrau); her husband Gladwyn Schmidt; and her son-in-law Steven Forbes. She is survived by: her children, Russell Schmidt (Holly), Lorraine Schellenberg (Kenneth) and Kimberly Forbes. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to Camp Tapawingo or the Union Gospel Mission in care of Bollman's Tribute Center.
