He was predeceased by: his parents, Buren Witherspoon and Margret Witherspoon (Donahue); his wife Ronna Witherspoon; and his brother Tom Witherspoon. He is survived by: his children, Timothy Witherspoon (Tamey) of Elgin, OR., Wendy Witherspoon of Elgin, OR., Anita Kahut (Ray) of La Grande, OR., Sarah Witherspoon of Elgin, OR., Tara Doty (Rosie) of Elgin, OR., Jacob Witherspoon (Kaylei) of Madras, OR. and Andrew Witherspoon (Emily) of La Grande, OR.; his brothers, Jim Witherspoon (Judy) and Dale Witherspoon; and his sister-in-law Jaylene. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Loveland Funeral Chapel (1508 Fourth St, La Grande, OR 97850). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elgin Community Center (260 N 10th St, Elgin, OR 97827).
