He is survived by: his children, Angelene Christene and Patrick Ralph Herbert; his wife Linda J. Reed; his daughters, Sarah Neill (Tom) and Melissa Meiners (Jeff); his grandchildren, Joseph, Benjamin Frederick Neill, Emma, Maggie Lutz and Samantha Meiners; and his sisters, Patricia Fuller of Ottumwa and Martha Huber of Des Moines. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Fred's name to the Estacada Public Library.
