He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma Leona Bentz and Edward William Mollet; and his son Christian Mollet. He is survived by: his former wife Janet Kaye Asay; his children, Tracey Thomson, Wendy (Darrell Wamhoff) and David Mollet; his sister Shirley (Douglas Miner); his niece Sara (Brian Coffman); and his nephew Justin Miner (Laura). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
